Weekend

Well, we had a good weekend. Friday night, Jillian, Chris and I went to Outback for a yummy dinner. Then we went & saw Chris's cousin, Brittney, play softball at Brownsburg. Jillian had a great time playing in the rocks, eating a popsicle and running around without shorts on because her diaper wasn't on correctly & she pooped in her pants. What a mess!! The softball diamonds didnt have a changing facility, so we walked over to a grassy area & I changed her diaper. And boy was it a nasty diaper! So, that was an experience. She looked like such a white trash baby, but she was still cute!
Saturday, we got up and I took her for her first haircut. She didn't want to sit in one of their chairs so she just sat in my lap & did a fabulous job!!! Leaving on the other hand, was a different story. We went to Cookie Cutters & they have a play ground there for the kids to play on, which Jillian was doing. When it was time to leave, she threw a HUGE fit! I had to carry her out which wasn't easy to do because I had my hands full with all the crap they give you plus her "baby". I put her down on the sidewalk & she took off running down the sidewalk. When I caught up with her, she layed down on the sidewalk, screaming and crying. So I picked her up in a football hold & took her to the car. Getting her into the carseat wasn't easy either. She kicked, screamed, knocked off my glasses and tried to bite me. The little poop head. She finally calmed down by the time we got home, told me she was sorry & gave me a kiss. She took a long nap & then Ellen stopped by to pick her up so Chris and I could go over to Mark & Annies for their house warming party. We had a great time there & got home about 1:30ish a.m. I went & picked Jillian up from Ellens around noon. Everything was good until Jillian and I went for a walk. She sat in her umbrella stroller for some of the walk until she decided she wanted to push the stroller. It was so cute watching her push it like such a big girl. I wish I had a camera because there were plenty of "Kodak" moments. Then when it was time to head for home and we were crossing the parking lot she didn't want to listen to me and the fit ensued. OMG, it was awful. Finally, I got her strapped down in the stroller & pushed her home. She may have worn the toes of her sandals out because she kept dragging them, trying to get me to stop. Which I didn't stop once. It is amazing how they can go from so cute & sweet to a screaming crying tyrant in less than 1 second! UGH. When we finally got home, chris made her apologize to me and the rest of the evening went fine. Chris asked me if I still wanted another child after this weekend. I told him yes because the good times far outweigh the bad. And it is true. I will remember the good times way more than the bad, I think. She is just too cute & sweet most of the time.
We have a busy week this coming week, so we will see how much I post.

Thankful

I am thankful that Jillian reminded me this morning that playing with bubbles is more fun than sleeping in later than 6:00 a.m.!! I would have missed out of seeing alot of bubbles and fun if she hadn't woken up early & wanted to play with her bubble machine & her bubbles!!!

Jillian and I went out to dinner at Applebees with Ellen tonight. The one picture is while she was eating dessert with Ellen. She kept shoveling it in her mouth. She was even drooling out chocolate. She was loving every minute of it! The other picture is her feeding me a french fry. She was such a good girl tonight. We were having so much fun with her, we let her stay up until 8:00 (I know shocking). When we got home from dinner, Chris was playing his Guitar Hero and Jillian wanted to dance. So we danced for awhile and everytime Chris would finish a song Jillian would say "yeah daddy" and "again" over and over. He finally stopped (not that I wasn't enjoying it. lol). Then Jillian & Chris played on the floor together for a little while. She started playing with her Tickle Me Elmo & everytime it would vibrate she would either run over to me or Chris so we could feel it. Her facial expressions are priceless. You can see every emotion in her face. Then she played with her blocks for awhile, but when I told her it was time to clean up, she listened well & actually picked them up. then she ran over to daddy to give him a hug & kiss & ran off to her room. She even listened when I told her it was time to put on a diaper (she had been running around in her birthday suit, which she LOVES to do) and get her night gown on. She wouldn't let me rock her & sing or read to her, but she sat in her glider, I sat on the foot stool. She played with her baby while I sang her favorite song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." I tried to sing the entire song, which I am finally learning because I have only known the first verse. But she kept getting up in my face asking me "bainbow?" and wanting me to sing just that first damn verse. Then I put her in bed & she went to bed pretty quietly. What a great little girl. Like Chris said last night, "could we have asked for a better child?" I think the answer is no, but I hope our next one isnt bad!!

I was told by a few people to post pictures, so here are a few pictures. I think I am posting them correctly, I guess we will see.
Jillian was a little bit of a turd tonight off and on. She had a good nap today, so it must be just the terrible twos. She was pretty good except when she didn't get her way, she would throw things or blow raspberries at me. When she blows the raspberries at me, I just have to laugh. I think she thinks it is making her "tough" but it is just too cute. And I would rather her do that then hit like she does periodically. That isn't cute & she gets in big trouble when she does hit. She helped me fix dinner, litterally. She stirred the ingredients & poured in the onion powder & pepper. I decided we will have to definitely make cookies or something soon since she was so good at it. We then played outside with the bubbles for a little bit, took a bath & then sat in the hallway & played with the Memory game cards. Then it was night night time. I put her down at 8:00 & I think she just now fell asleep. One hour is good for her, normallly she plays in her crib for over an hour. I'm surprised she actually has a place to lay her head because there are so many books in her crib. She just cracks me up!!

Weekend

Ok, I have no idea how to do this whole blogging thing, but I guess I will just talk about my weekend on this post.
Yesterday I got up and went to Hoopeston, Illinois to pick up my grandmother so she could come and see my mother in the hospital. My grandmother had said if we didn't get her over here to see my mom soon, she was going to get in the car & drive over here herself. Seeing as how she has a hard time even walking, driving 2 hours probably isn't a good thing. So anyway, I went & picked her up, dropped her off at the hospital to visit with my mother, drove down to Camby to meet Chris & pick up Jillian. Then drove all the way back to near the hospital to eat dinner with my grandmother, Darcy and Jillian. We ate at Fazolis. Jillian loved the pizza she got & also the food my grandmother & I got. Jillian only got a 30 minute nap, so I was a little nervous on how she was going to do at dinner. She actually did a great job, although she wasn't going for the pictures my grandmother wanted to take of her. Darcy was taking my granny home, so Jillian and I left to ehad for home. We stopped by DQ for dessert. When we got home, Jillian wanted to watch Monters Inc (for the umpteenth time) and eat both blizzards that I bought. So she just kept switching between the two. Goofy girl.
Then today, Fathers Day, I tried to let Chris sleep in, but he ended up getting up somewhat early. And went to Walmart with me and Jillian. I have no idea what made him to decide to do that because normally I have to practically pull his teeth to get him to go to the store with me. Then we just came home and hung out. Jillian wanted me to paint her toe nails and did a great job while I painted them. She then wanted me to paint her dolls toe nails the same color. She sat on her potty a couple of times, but even with bribery of candy, she still didn't go potty. I think we are getting very close though!! It's gonna happen........one day.
Well, this is really long & probably BORING to everyone who reads it, but oh well. I will hopefully post some pictures today.
