A few weeks ago, Jillian and I went to a cake decorating class. We had a good time. Jillian really seemed to like it.

Jillian sacked out on the couch. She kept saying she wasn't tired & a few minutes later, there she lay. LOL.

On May 14th Dana's friend, Stacy & I threw her a baby shower. Good thing we did because she had her baby, Blake Aaron was born 9 days later. She was 35 weeks along, but he was 5lb 14oz. 19.5 inches long. Can't imagine how big he would be if she went full term. He is such a cute baby!! He had to stay in the hospital for about 2 weeks, but they finally got home yesterday! I wish them the best of luck.

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day.

My granny had mentioned awhile ago, I guess to my mom that she had never rode in a limo. So, my mom decided it would be fun to get one for her. We tried to go to Olive Garden, but it was too busy. So we headed over to TGIF. They had a wait by the time we got over there too, so we decided to just sit seperately. Service was very slow, but it was good food!

Then we headed downtown just to see the sights. Jillian was in awe of the buildings. She just kept looking up, pointing & exclaiming "mommy look." It actually brought tears to my eyes to see her. We drove by Jillians restaraunt. And she thought it was so cool to see her name up in lights.

Jillian AMAZED by the sights down town.

Then after downtown we were going to drive by the track. We decided to make a pit stop by Long's donuts. The line was out the door, but Darcy waited in line for the yummiest donuts around. And boy were they worth the wait. It was so good! Then we drove by the track & headed home. Our limo driver was great especially for the group we had. lol.

Family after the limo ride.

It was a very nice Mother's Day. I love my family & am so glad we could spend another Mother's Day together.

Carleighs 9 mth checkup

Carleigh went to the doctor last Tuesday. She weighed 19lbs 9 oz which means she is in the 65%. Her height was 29 inches which is in the 92%. I'm not quite sure I agree with that though. She doesn't seem to be that tall, but we will just have to go with what they say. LOL. He head is 18 inches which is 91%. Jillian at her age was off the charts for her weight. Haha. Other than that, I think there were pretty comparable, especially the big head. The doctor said Carleigh had dropped in %% in weight since her 6 months, but not enough to be concerned. She is caught up, I think pretty well with her development. She wouldn't stand on her feet for the doctor, but she said maybe it was because she was so mad. She is standing on her feet just fine when we hold her up & when she is in her exercauser. We think she is going to crawl anyday now. She is getting up on her hands & knees & rocking all the time. Twice today she picked up her knee, but then she fell over. So, I don't think it will be very long. She is already all around the place as it is, let alone if she starts to crawl. She has been pretty cranky these past few days. She has 2 teeth coming in at the same time. One on top & one on bottom. So, I guess that is the reason. Hopefully, it gets better soon. So I have my sweet, laid back baby back. Her sister gives me enough grief, I need a laid back one. LOL.

I need to write about the great Mothers Day that we had last week. But that will have to be another time.

Chris & I have been married for 5 years & 2 days as of today! Our anniversary was on Friday. Chris bought me roses, but we didn't do anything because we had a babysitter for Saturday night. So, I actually went out with Ellen & the kids Friday night. We had yummy dinner at La Haciendas & then I went back to her house & hung out in her bed.
Saturday, the girls & I went over to Shannon's house so Jillian & Ray could play together. They get along well & are so cute together. Then I took the girls down to Darcy's so Chris & I could go to dinner. We had a nice time & then went out for a couple of drinks afterwards. We laid in bed today together until 11:00 ish. I have no idea when the last time was I did that. Honestly, I am glad I don't do it anymore. The day went by too fast & I don't feel like I had much energy even though I got more sleep than I have in a very long time. Both girls seemed happy to come home.
Carleigh has cut one of her bottom teeth & is working on a top one. And boy has she been cranky! She is getting up on her knees & rocking back & forth, so she may be crawling soon. She goes for her 9 month check up on Tuesday. I am interested to see if she is still a little behind her milestones or if she is finally catching up. And to see how she compares size wise with what Jillian was at her age.
Jillian has been worse than normal when it comes to bed time these past 2 nights. She fights falling asleep. She was crying & screaming tonight because she couldn't get a booger out of her nose. LOL. But kept saying she wasn't crying because she was tired, but not 10 minutes later she fell asleep cuddling with me. I loved that, she hasn't done that with me for ages!! She does drive me nuts though when it comes to bed time. Very frustrating & exhausting. The rest of the time, she is a great little girl. She has to go get some dental work done on the 13Th of May at the hospital because she has some cavities, but won't let the dentist get anywhere near her. So, they will use some anesthesia to knock her out, get it all done at once & she won't be anymore freaked out about the dentist than she already is!
